Previously shown in Sydney and published as a book, the photographs in this exhibition is a series of familiar yet uneasy depictions of a suburban essence. "I'm am trying to show something honest in pictures of people... my portraits, as with my other photos, are always spontaneous. I might get the person's attention of ask them to stay where they are, but generally I won't offer much direction... I guess you could say that I'm trying to capture the essence of the moment because it's often the light or mood or the setting that inspires the portrait."
