FICTION by Emma Fletcher, Karl Ockelford and Steve Matzkov
FICTION the latest group exhibition at PCP, has brought together three people from different creative backgrounds: all sharing a similar eye for the obscure. The intricate images look like etchings capturing the texture and detail in every day objects from Perth, Melbourne, Finland and Japan.
Each photograph holds its own fictional quality that encourages the viewer to discern its content by imagination or perseverance. These photographs disregard scale to transform the sometimes obvious into obscure.
FICTION runs from August 9, 6:30pm to August 25, 4pm at the Perth Centre for Photography, 91 Brisbane Street, Perth.
